About
Us
Travellers' Tales was founded by Kate and Neil Gunn in 1986, the
first UK mail-order library of unabridged books-on-tape. The name
derives from the fact that the company is based near Canterbury,
famous for its links with Chaucer! The library now has over 6,000
books and thousands of members have joined in the last 15 years.
The main activity
of the business is to hire out unabridged audio books that are expensive
to buy and not readily available. The range of books are: biographies
and autobiographies, classics,
fiction, non-fiction,
humour, historical,
management, plays,
poetry, romance,
science-fiction,
thrillers,
western and children.
Most
of our members listen to our books when they are driving,
painting
(for pleasure or decorating!), gardening, or doing housework. If
you've got a personal stereo, the opportunities are unlimited!
Why not join us - your love of books could be
fulfilled at a stroke!
